1) Max sent me think link to the The Right Was Right. It's not what you think, rather the site outlines a 25-point manifesto for the new Congress. I am especially impressed by points #2, 14, 16, 18 and 23. Excellent. By the way, if you click the link to Max's site you will see the letter he submitted to the NY Times regarding Adam Nagourney's post-election analysis/Rahm Emanuel tongue bath. It is dead on, so I doubt we will see it in print. Sigh.
2) Mr. Slice sent me a link to a Crooks & Liars with video of Stephen Colbert's tribute to the outgoing Republican majority.
3) Jenn sent me this yummy Huffington Post article about Morgan Stanley's call to New York Times investors urging them to sell their stake in the paper. The article notes: Analyst Lisa Monaco delivered the negative report on the heels of another Morgan Stanley initiative, this time from a fund based in London, agitating to upend the longstanding family control structure in place at the Times which keeps power in the hands of the Sulzberger family, which has come under particular fire during the tenure of publisher Arthur Sulzberger, Jr.. May I just add: hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. If Punch gets squeezed out, I will be happy--he gave cover to that cunt Judy Miller, after all--but I won't buy until the paper puts a real newsman or woman in charge of what could be a fine paper. Until that time, my personal boycott continues.
Enjoy the links. Posting will resume as usual tomorrow.
Brilliant! Colbert does it again.
And the Right Was Right list: I laughed my ass off.
The Times... what you said.

Joe: I was chatting with my friend John this evening and he said he is in political news overload. I agree. So for a week or so I'm guessing that I may post more stuff like I did in the link post. All great stuff. And that Liberal Agenda was fantabulous, no? GMB
