Oil prices drop below $50 dollars, hit 3.5-year lows. A small handful of evil filthy greedy people have made a lot of money off of the rest of us, and they are laughing their asses off. And why shouldn't they? Nothing will happen to them. Not a fucking thing.
Nationalization. Kill the federal judges. We'll be OK then.

Guess everyone better go out and buy even bigger vehicles. Accountability is for the little people.

JDM: Nationalization is the just move. Naturally we will never see it.
DCup: Glad I can survive without a car. Of course, we don't have hot water right now. god I hate my landlord. GMB

Hey.. when you have to taxi three very active kids places, lower gas prices are a bonus. Most times they go places on skateboards and bicycles, but that'll only take them so far where I live.

Spartacus: I see how my brother and sister-in-law have to ferry the kids around. Lower prices help a lot. What I want to know is what changed fundamentally that made the price skyrocket to over $140 and now crater to under $50 a barrel in less than a year. Manipulation and speculation is responsible for a huge part of it, and the government was quite happy to let the speculators and oil companies earn their ill-gotten gains at all our expense. Just filthy. GMB

The Big Oilies dropped the price to kill alternative fuels and to get people back off the trains and buses. Should be a huge fucking tax, plus nationalization, if we want our kids to have much of a world at all. Controlling demand works; they control supply, so that will ALWAYS be a big cheat. Waiting for the first snowy winter weather to hear "WTF is global warming?"

JDM: I have no doubt you are right. That said, I think people realize they have been played and may be a bit more likely to refuse to play this game anymore. At least I hope so. As for the weather, until this week it's been unseasonably warm here. Not hot, but warmer than it should be. Now it feels like November. Wonder whether this is the year for snow. My gut says yes. Oi.
