Sorry, but I'm being a slacker.
Truth is, nothing is jumping out at me. Hill going through the confirmation process, Obama's people talking about "moving forward" (i.e., W and Cheney walk free), etc. It's dispiriting and boring all at the same time. So I'm sorry for the light posting, but I'm not feeling the intensity about this stuff like I did a while back.
neither am i -- it gets tiring. besides worrying if i have a job tomorrow seems more important than burris

I love how confident you are about that. And I'm sure you're right. Same here.

Well, if it's not government doings that lights your fuse, I'm sure your landlord or building super will pick up the slack. Here's to waiting.

You need not worry- your adoring fans (yes that would be us) will await whatever comes next.

DCap: Hope that your fear about your job is unfounded. Sending good wishes.
Lisa: Well, I am a few years older than you and experience tells. Hahahahahahaha. Oh well, at least I have learned something over the last million years.
Spartacus: I'd rather that it's the government. Yeah, I have my limits. GMB

The good thing is that Obama's megalomania is exceeded only by his naivete.
John Conyers and George H W Bush are two old warhorses who've known each other a long time and been on the opposite side of many issues. In trying to "position" himself as Republican-friendly, Obama, through Warren, has trashed President George H W Bush's church because it's "too liberal" for Obama and Warren's tastes and an easy target because a lot of rich people are parishoners. Anyone think Bush, Sr, appreciates this?
How soon do you think Representative Conyers and #41 will be lunching together in Washington? By Friday, I say. You think between the two of them they can't find any number of ways to trip Obama up and find someone in the 2012 primary to beat him?

That's going to happen and indeed may have already. We don't own any of this and Obama is just another self hating fool, maybe even one too arrogant to go build houses with Jimmy carter when his assigned and accepted role to be the Fuckup Librul Democrat is played out. For the nonce, at least, it seems to me quite hopeless, though I hope that it's not. "Thus we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past." When, one wonders, will it ever change?

Kelso: Interesting take. I'm not sure what I believe. I don't think Obama is naive, I think he is cunning. Inviting Warren was not a mistake, I believe. Maybe he was sending a message that said "I'm not in the liberals' pocket" or something like that. I am just not sure.
JDM: I'm starting to believe that so things have been, so they will continue to be. No difference in political types now and during most earlier periods. The same type of people are drawn to politics, and they aren't the best and brightest. GMB
