Reamus

Harry needs more than luck or excuses. A brain would be a start. They gave him the miserable job as the Minority Leader and got stuck with him as the Leader when they took control.. They could use some one who at least knows the Senate rules.

Where is Hilary now that we need her???

JDM

KMA, Harry, ya dickless fuckwad. Hope Franken starts making noise soon.

Reamus: He's making his masters happy...and it ain't us. I don't know who should replace him, all I know is just about anyone (no Nelsons, Landrieu or Lincoln) would be better. Give it to Dodd. He needs help in his senate race and maybe he will run with it. Has to be better.
JDM: Well, I recall the republicans bitching about Franken and saying that he couldn't be seated until all this litigation was done and Reid happily went along. He didn't even try to fight them. I hope Franken has Reid in his sites, because Franken can get camera time by simply asking. GMB

Dr. Monkey

Harry Reid answers to his paymasters in corporate America, just like the rest of them.

dguzman

NPR was already giving him an out yesterday when their "political reporter" claimed that there's no way all 60 dems will even attend a vote much less vote as a bloc.

Boy, I sure do love the idea of Franken or even Dodd as majority leader. Anyone but "give 'em... everything!" Harry.

Spartacus: I hear you. But I think--that is, I hope--Obama knows that if the democrats fuck up health care it's on his head. These assholes don't realize that the masses are increasingly short on patience. The punted after 2006 and still were rewarded in 2008. If they think this will hold in 2010, they are mistaken. I hear more than grumbling out here.
dguzman: Why don't the senate democrats get rid of Harry then? Because the majority of them like him giving him cover. That's my guess. Enough with the 60 votes. Make the fucking republicans filibuster for real. And while they are reading the phone book on the senate floor, the democratic senators should be on every cable and network show decrying them and raising stories about real Americans who have been screwed by the insurance companies. It's not that fucking hard. GMB
