Dr. Monkey

Damn the so called 'green revolution' in farming. I knew all those chemicals were going to kills us one way or another.

A spokesperson from Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) said the new research did not change the government's position. "The UK has a robust system for assessing risks from pesticides and all the evidence shows neonicotinoids do not pose an unacceptable risk to honeybees when products are used correctly. However, we will not hesitate to act if presented with any new evidence."

It's amazing how that governmental response is virtually psychotic in ignoring the new evidence presented by this study.

"Robust"? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

That's a fact, Dr. Monkey. When I was a kid, I grew a garden with my grandfather. Given that he was in his 80s, I did the work. No peticides or artifical fertilizer. I just dug things up and added some peat moss, cow manure, and pulverized limestone (helped keep the insects down to dust it onto the tomato plants--sweetens the soil, so it's all good). One year, a neighbor and I went to a horse farm and filled about 20 bags with composted horse manure. I dug everything out about a foot or more and mixed all the soil with the manure and some peat moss. Man, had the best tomatoes ever.
Antomiomo: If the people knew what the gov't was doing and how they have sold us out for a shiny penny, every last one of them would hang. The stakes are too high to ignore this, but between the political whores and the media whores, it's almost impossible to get the attention of the masses.
JDM: Better than the U.S., that's for sure. Remember, the UK has to follow EU standards, and they are fairly strict. EU doesn't allow for GMO, for example. GMB
