Julian Assange seeking asylum in Ecuadorian embassy in London. You know the U.S. will do something shitty to Ecuador if they offer asylum to Assange, who, I believe, is being railroaded. If you have followed this case you know that something smells very bad. It is obvious that the U.S. wants to punish Assange to deter future activists who believe in transparency, truth, and decency. And god bless Bradley Manning, too.
Wow, that was a creative move. I hope he gets asylum.

Me too, antoniomo. It was offered to him a few years back, but wait until the US overreacts. That said, unless the Ecuadoreans have a magic "get out of UK" machine, that will mean living in the Ecuadorian embassy. Better than an (eventual) American prison. That's for damn sure. GMB

I think he should be granted asylum to live in the same bubble as that permanently immune fuck Jon Corzine.

I'm amazed at how this story hit BIG for about a day and a half, and I've heard nothing about it since. I googled to make sure I hadn't missed anything, and there's nothing newer than June 20. What's happened?

JDM: How about we trade Assange for Corzine and Assange can walk a free man, as he should, while Corzine gets porsecuted, as he should?
dguzman: The U.S. gov't doesn't want the people to know about Assange and Wikileaks and Bradley Manning, that's what happened. GMB
